3. Barking Beach Cottage – Hermanus 

Who doesn’t enjoy an early morning or late afternoon stroll on the beach? I know I do! At Barking Beach there can be plenty of walks that you and your dog will be able to enjoy. The cottages are large enough to house a family of 6 and their beloved canine companions. Featuring a braai area, indoor fireplace, satellite TV and gated security, this is a lovely place to spend the holiday with your family.

4. River Edge – Kleinberg Farm, Breede River 

Pack your canoes or tow your boat along to this beautiful river! They also have a braai area, an indoor fireplace, satellite TV and a jacuzzi to relax in. There is enough space for a family of 6, 8 or 10 depending on which cottage you take and not only is Butch welcome here, but Sylvester and Tweety as well! Just make sure the bird stays in the cage.

5. The Twelve Apostles – Camps Bay 

Although most of these places are in the more quiet areas, The Twelve Apostles is more luxurious than the rest. They have various suites and rooms available and allow small pets. Depending on the cottage there is ample space to house 4-6 people as well as your pet of course. 7. Plum Tree Cottage – McGregor 

Looking for something different? Well look no further than this tiny country enclave. Bordering a nature reserve and with wine and olive farms nearby, this is a gem of a place to visit. With prior arrangement, your pet can join you and the family here where they have an enclosed back garden, an outdoor patio, an indoor fireplace and a fully-equipped kitchen. Big enough for a family of 4.

8. Blommekloof Country Cottages – Outeniqua Mountains 

Go off the grid and experience nature at her best! There are 2 cottages that are large enough to house between 6-8 guests! Features here include birdwatching, fishing, hiking trails, enclosed gardens, mountain biking trails, as well as a jungle gym, braai areas and an indoor fireplace.

9. The Beach House – Witsand 

Finally there is this luxury seaside house with 5 bedrooms, 3 en-suite bathrooms, big enough for 10 people and your small breed pets with prior arrangement.
